Manchester United are one of English football's form teams at the moment, with José Mourinho's men having recovered from an underwhelming start to the season with an unbeaten streak of 14 games in all competitions. The Reds will hope to move a step closer to winning their first trophy under the Portuguese coach on Tuesday, when they host Hull City in the first leg of their EFL Cup semifinal.
United certainly head into the match as favorites, with Hull currently sitting rock bottom of the Premier League. They did, however, pick up a confidence-boosting 2-0 victory over Swansea City on Saturday in new manager Marco Silva's first game in charge, and will surely be heading to Old Trafford with renewed confidence. United should be wary of expecting to cruise to victory.

Three big things to know
1. Heavy squad rotation isn't really the José Mourinho way, meaning we can expect both sides to name full-strength teams on Tuesday. United will, however, be without the injured Marcos Rojo, and his defensive partner Eric Bailly, who has joined up with the Ivory Coast squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations. Luke Shaw remains doubtful.
2. Hull have several players sidelined through injury, including Alex Bruce, Will Keane, Greg Luer, and Moses Odubajo. Brian Lenihan, Allan McGregor, Curtis Davies, Michael Dawson, and Harry Maguire all face late fitness tests. Dieumerci Mbokani and Ahmed Elmohamady are both at AFCON.
3. Manchester United have won all but one of their fixtures against Hull City stretching back to 1975; the only other match ended in a draw at the KC Stadium in May 2015. Not since November 1974, when these sides met in the Second Division, have the Tigers managed to beat United.
