A scary scene unfolded on Saturday as Houston Dash’s Rachel Daly collapsed on the pitch during the closing seconds of their match against the Seattle Reign FC and had to be taken off the pitch on a stretcher.

The match took place in Houston, which today and typically this time of year, is hot and humid. At the time of the match, temperatures were around 92 degrees with a heat index of 102.
