After Iceland lost a heartbreaking game to Nigeria in the second round of group play, they find themselves with a tough road to advance out of Group D. It also had people asking: Is Iceland out of the 2018 World Cup?
But they’re not done yet! While they need some help, Iceland can still grab the second spot in the group and advance to the knockout round. They just need to beat Croatia in their 2 p.m. ET game today ... and they need some help.

While it’s hard, Iceland can still advance, if:
- Iceland beats Croatia by two or more goals
- Nigeria ties Argentina
- If goal differential between Nigeria and Iceland tied, Iceland must score more goals than Nigeria scored in the tournament
OR
- Iceland beats Croatia
- Argentina beats Nigeria
- Iceland wins by as many goals as Argentina wins by
If Iceland ties or loses to Croatia, they will be out.
