Maybe we’re misconstruing what Maradona is doing here. Perhaps he’s not flipping everyone off on live TV. Perhaps he’s just saying “Two, we scored a second goal!” That would just be a helpful service to let people know what was happening, in case the scoreboard was obscured in the stadium.
Bill Russell made a prediction on Monday night, but he thought Argentina would only score one.
