The top four seeds on the men's singles draw at Wimbledon will all be in play on Wednesday, vying for spots in the semifinals. No. 1 Novak Djokovic survived a marathon bout with No. 14 Kevin Anderson that spanned two days to get this far. He'll get little reprieve from No. 9 Marin Cilic, who has scrapped his way through two five-set matches to advance to his sixth career grand slam quarterfinal.
Just before Djokovic takes Centre Court, No. 3 Andy Murray will have to contend with Vasek Pospisil, perhaps the biggest enigma of the tournament. The unseeded 25-year-old has needed five sets to win four of his last five matches at Wimbledon. In doing so, he has advanced further than he ever has at a grand slam tournament by a wide margin. His previous best showings were third-round losses in the last two Australian Opens.
On No. 1 Court, a pair of veterans will start the day. No. 12 Gilles Simon and No. 2 Roger Federer have a combined 63 years between them. They have gone head-to-head seven times in their careers, with Federer winning the last five bouts and Simon's only two wins coming in 2008.
Simon-Federer will lead into No. 4 Stan Wawrinka vs. No. 21 Richard Gasquet. A win by Wawrinka could set up a semifinal rematch of the French Open final against Djokovic, which Warinka won in four sets. Gasquet, meanwhile, is trying to advance to just the third grand slam semifinal of his long career.
Matches will get underway at 8 a.m. ET, with coverage beginning at 7 a.m. and running until 1 p.m. on ESPN. WatchESPN is once again the destination for online streaming. The full schedule of men's singles matches is below.
