If someone makes a joke about the Iraq war or terrorism that I find tasteless or offensive, I am more often than not told 'It's just a joke'
And I get it. It is a joke, they don’t mean harm by it.
I don’t necessarily mean you but if someone has no problem making or laughing at holocaust, terrorism or coronavirus jokes, I would expect them to take a 9/11 joke on the chin as well.

That was brutal....
That fight pretty much ended after the first knockdown. Wilder just wasn’t the same after that. And throwing in the towel was the smartest thing his corner did. Hope they realize going forward that relying on stopping power and nothing else will not work on the best of the best.

It's a lame joke for sure but still a joke
I guess it’s the kind of thing that will offend Americans more so than the rest of the world.
I remember watching a joke about a Saudi guy using 9/11 to explain what country Saudi Arabia is in America.

One beat a woman almost to death and the other made a 9/11 joke...
Very comparable eh?

Edmond is a bad coach but at the end of the day, he is a martial artist (however crap).
This dude is something else entirely….

I guess you've got a point.
But in the spirit of honesty, I just don’t like Conor at all. I admit, I’ve commented more negativity on any page of his than any other fighter and I used to be a fan way back when.
Not that my support matters in any way at all. As a fan of the sport, I get unnecessarily annoyed that a trashy guy like that gets so much adoration and second chances.
Probably a character flaw of mine to care this much but whatever.

Didn't some chick (maybe an escort) just recently post a selfie video of herself next to Conor while he's sleeping?
Can anybody put up a gif of that?

Owning up is not the same as paying for....
For all the shit he’s said and done, he’s gotten off very easy.
The sexual assault accusations and old man punching stuff aside, Dana did absolutely nothing when he climbed into the Bellator cage mid fight and slapped Marc Goddard or the bus attack. He wasn’t even given some bullshit 1 month suspension or anything of the sort.
I liked his attitude in approaching the Cowboy fight. Hope he sticks to that but even that just comes across as damage control. People blame money and fame but that shit doesn’t make you bad, it just reveals your worst when you think you’re untouchable.

This Fabia guy has really done a number on Diego
How Diego is too blind to see that his last two performances were utter crap is beyond me.
Yes, Perreira landed an illegal knee. He paid for it by being disqualified. But Diego’s showing was terrible. And the Chiesa fight was even worse. Chiesa literally did whatever he wanted in that fight.
This isn’t going to end well…

Digusted isn't a good word here and for that Stephen A Smith (who is not an analyst of mma) deserves to get shit for.
But on some level, I agree with the sentiment that Cowboy MAYBE mentally checked out before he stepped in there.
And that’s not to shit on Cowboy. I’ve always been and will forever be a fan. But I think this spotlight got to him hard. Especially since most people were calling it a tune-up fight for Conor (which I get) and he has to hear it constantly.
My main issue is that this was a tune-up fight for Conor basically and that’s fine. Cowboy isn’t a guarantee win for anyone. He’s a tough, crafty veteran of the sport. And not even at lightweight but now Dana and co. are calling for a title shot at lightweight or Usman (which isn’t happening now considering he’s fighting Masvidal) at welterweight. That bothers me.

Jed. Did you mean judges instead of referees
Pretty sure the judges decide who wins on the scorecards. Not the refs.

Agreed.... And I'm happy for DJ
The guy gets to travel Asia and sure, he might not be fighting the best of the best but he’s having fun. The man has earned that.
Still, in my opinion, the greatest mixed martial artist in the world in the world right now.

There was a time when I kinda liked the 'king of cringe' stuff
Now it’s just bad.

This might sound weird...
But I feel like this is some weird puppet master shit.
Like this Fabia dude has found the exact way to have Diego hang on his every word. Like those Shaolin senseis who you see videos of ‘telekinetically’ tossing their students around. Same principal, at least, I mean. Like this dude is so deep in Diego’s head that Diego believes every word he says.

Point is that it's a little obvious that Diego took the DQ win.
Yes Perreira fucked up bad.
But Diego’s reputatation is the original ultimate fighter isn’t that of one who takes DQ wins when he clearly is capable of competing.
That being said, Diego has really fucked up by going to this self-help guru for training. I really hope he sees that but chances are, he hasn’t.

Man Jones need to stop with this 'First of all, thank you to my lord and savior Jesus Christ'
A couple of months ago he got in trouble being handsy with a stripper in a club.
Does he thank Jesus when he got out of that situation?

Anybody think Izzy might actually be able to beat Jones?

Man let's just stop with the convincingly crap
If you win a round, you win a round. End of story.
I can understand 48-47 for Jones because of round 2, which I still think Reyes won. He definitely otustruck Jones.
But that 49-46 judge was smoking crack.
