I am the eternal optimist/pessimist all rolled into one. The optimist looks at Cleveland sports and thinks that surely the day will come when a champion will again be given a parade down Euclid Avenue, but then, when we get to the brink of just such a title, the pessimist, going on the disappointments of the past, waits for gloom and doom to fall yet again. Guess that makes me a perfect example of Cleveland fans born in the 1950s. Luckily I not only love the Browns/Cavaliers/Indians, but I also love the games they play. I love to read about the games, to think about the games, to soak in the pure joy of the games themselves, win or lose. And I am so glad that the Internet now provides so many wonderful forums to express ourselves, to share our love of our sports, and to vent - win or lose. You will know me, if you have read Fear the Sword, as AncientMariner on that site.
