A Michigan State alumnus, I'm a freelance writer based in Naperville, Ill. I've covered preps for both major Chicago papers and I was the lead prep writer for the Naperville Sun from March 2010 to July 2013. While operating as the lead prep writer for the Naperville Sun, I did pretty much everything you could imagine. From gamers, previews, sidebars, notebooks, recruiting pieces, features and compiling various All-Area packages, I got the experience of being a full-time staff guy without actually being a full-time staff guy.
