Y'all have me to thank for all this excitement
Two years ago when nothing happened, I spent the entire morning and afternoon hoping and constantly checking the news for Isles trades. Decided it was a waste of time since "nothing ever happens". Last year, despite my intentions, I did the same thing and was disappointed again. This year the resolution was cemented. I slept in and didn’t turn the computer or tv on until noon. Lo’ and behold, something actually happened.

Yep, he's pretty similar to Nielsen when Frans was at his peak.
Exactly what the team needs and fits the system. I’d let him use my back as a desk if he wants to sign at 5×5. If he could stand playing in Ottawa during the rebuild and is truly asking for 5×5, then it seems like he’s a pretty professional and reasonable fella. Seems like the kind of guy that might sign with the Isles long-term.
If Isles go on a deep run, this is a good trade.
If Isles resign Pageau at a reasonable figure, this is a great trade.
If he bolts after this season, and the Isles don’t do much in the playoffs, then it’s a poor trade.
Reward appears to justify the risk.

Definitely. Part of the cycle of sports. Records are made to be broken,
Except by cheaters like Bonds.

Yep and I think the goalie was supposedly wearing Leafs gear underneath the Hurricane's jersey.
I think yesterday will live in Leafs infamy forever. That team might truly disintegrate from that blow to the psyche. Not just for this year.

Yesterday reminded me of the day when Rickey Henderson broke the SB record
but it was mostly eclipsed in the news when Nolan Ryan threw his 7th no-hitter later that night.
Ovi scores #700, but it’ll be known at least as much for the day the Leafs lost to a zamboni driver goalie and the Bruins and Lightning gave up 9 and 7 goals.

I hope the Nutsack Goalie saw the Zamboni Goalie and he keeps the dream alive.
He should bring his elephantine cup next time he goes to a game.

JT seems to be star-crossed.
To this point, he really only has the first-round Florida series as a feather in his cap. Right now, he’s equally known for being the captain of a team that just lost a game to a 42-yr old emergency goaltender.
It’s the Leafs version of the butt-fumble.
