So what will the O/U be for Wisconsin-Iowa be? 19.5 sounds about right to me
Boring week in Survivor, as everyone feasted on cupcakes. Not really anything of interest gleaned from UW-EMU. Thatś about all I got.

Survivor pick distribution:
We have 8 no-shows this week, leaving 76 remaining
Early games: Northwestern over ISU (16 picks), MSU over YSU (3 picks), Minn over Mia (OH) (2 picks)
Mid-afternoon games: Purdue over UConn (34 picks), Rutgers over Syracuse (1 pick)
Night games: Maryland over Howard (17 picks), Indiana over Idaho (2 picks), Wisconsin over EMU (1 pick)
Not expecting many more eliminations today, but you never know!

I was wondering the same thing.
Also, it’s a curious choice of imagery to promote an event taking place on Sept 11th.

Late in the second quarter of the UW-PSU game, the Camp Randall scoreboard operator and PA announcer reported the following halftime scores: Western Michigan 27, Michigan 7, and Fordham 24, Nebraska 7. The performance by the scoreboard operator was very on-point for UW related performances yesterday.
Mertz was putrid, and it looks like another very good Jim Leonard defense is going to go to waste.
On another note, we had a record 102 entrants in B1G Survivor, and most were smart enough (myself not included) to move on by picking Nebraska over Fordham. 84 made it to Week 2.

Not that it's any real surprise,
but a home game vs PSU tends to be a pretty good bellwether for how the season is going to go. In the past, a win has been a predictor of a very good-to-great season, and a loss has meant a so-so season (or worse).
Seasons with home wins over the Nits:
1998- final record 11-1 (7-1), Big Ten and Rose Bowl champs
2004- final record 9-3 (6-2), 3rd in the Big Ten
2006- final record 12-1 (7-1), 3rd in the Big Ten
2011- final record 11-3 (7-2), B1G Champs
Seasons with home losses to PSU:
1996- final record 8-5 (3-5), 7th in the Big Ten
2002- final record 8-6 (2-6), t-8th in the Big Ten
2008- final record 7-6 (3-5), t6th in the Big Ten
2013- final record 9-4 (6-2), 2nd in whatever the fuck the division was called at that time

The fighting EMUs have knocked people out of the Survivor pool in each of their last 3 opportunities.
This year, their prospective victim is (checks notes)…….Oh, fuck!
Wisconsin´s famous ¨bounce pass¨ play was from that season vs. Illinois
UW took the lead late in the game on that play, only to have Illinois come back to win at the gun with a FG. Prior to Alvarez, UW´s most celebrated plays came in losses, whether it be this play, or the general play in the 1963 Rose Bowl.
