From a young age I have always had a love for sports. Growing up and tagging along with my dad to watch the then San Diego Chargers' practices/games and going to Los Angeles to see the Dodgers, and even going to a few Angels games, from early on I knew there was something about sports that would stick. Even though my dad absolutely hates the Lakers, he would always take the family to games -- either he wanted to watch the other teams, or he just loved to see the smile on our faces, letting him know we had a good time -- I think I'm going to go with the smiles. I grew up watching and playing sports; basketball, volleyball, track and field (which I was horrible at), dance and cheer is where you would find me. Although I have a love for all sports, basketball is my thing. In the back of my head I always knew I would never play professionally though, which didn't bother me. What I did know is that I would be a sports reporter. Now I am in Utah reporting both sports and news for ABC4 Utah, and as of today, I am an official member of the Block U family. I'm excited to be part of the team and hope everyone enjoys my articles. Make sure you follow me on Twitter @BJohnsonABC4.
