A historian of women's sport, Cat provides historical and cultural perspectives of women's basketball for Swish Appeal. She received her MA from the University of Georgia and PhD from the University of Miami. Her research concerns issues of race, gender, and sexuality in twentieth-century women's sport in the United States and Caribbean. Cat also is a long-tortured Atlanta basketball fan, who, nonetheless, believes Tiffany Hayes and Trae Young will lead ATL hoops to brighter days.
