I don't want this game to be close...
But I’d love to hear Buckhantz hit us with a Hoyas dagger call

Jones getting signed for big money by Philly
Should just motivate them to get Dak’s deal done. Franchise Coop. Tag Jones. If Philly still wants him, give up that 1st. Anyone else, looking for 2nds.

No one is a sure thing
But I’ll take Griffin over a lot of these dudes out here. Read this article:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-champion-raptors-resolve-personified-by-assistant-coach-adrian-griffin/amp/
Just in case you’re not the reading type, I’ll hit you with a couple of my takeaways
-"Griffin has now been an assistant coach in the NBA for 11 seasons after nine playing in the league. He considers Tom Thibodeau, his boss in Chicago from 2010 to 2015, a father figure, and is thankful for how Thibodeau pushed him and held him accountable"
-"At Jimmy Butler’s Most Improved Player press conference in 2015, the star wing famously gave Griffin a shout-out for dealing with him when he was an "unbearable" rookie, frustrated with being out of the Bulls’ rotation. "He has a lot to do with who I am," Butler said back then."
Sounds kinda good huh?

It was all a dream
Let Paxson be a consultant, let Forman be a head scout. You know they want a Chicago flavor, so bring in B.J. Armstrong, but also get an outside voice in Dan Tolzman from Toronto for the front office. AND bring in ex-Bull Adrian Griffin as HC
Please Lord, I know you a Bulls fan. You blessed us with MJ, AND DRose. I know a blessing is coming for those who kept the faith.

I feel like SLB is obsolete
I look at the game (let me say this, I’m just a fan. I played from youngins til college, and just love the game, no expert), and if you stay in a 3 LB alignment, then you need 2 Will LB’s and one needs to be more proficient in run defense.
In today’s NFL, I almost feel like the SS position is going to be more and more important. You’re going to need a guy who can tackle like a LB, but still cover RB, TE, and in the slot. It’s the reason that at the moment, I am loving Xavier McKinney and Kyle Dugger in the draft process, so far.
Your best base D would be a 4-2-5 or 4-3, where you have a very good hybrid SS/LB or two nice WLB’s who can cover and are stout against the run.
In Dallas’s terms, I think you look safety 1st, then LB. Hopefully, LVE can return at top form and combine to give us a nice 2 to that 4-2-5, then we need the S in the 5 or as my HS defense called it, the MonsterBack.
Let Jones walk. Sign Randall. Draft McKinney or Dugger. My Starting 5 are Lewis and Awuzie at CB, and Woods, Randall, and McKinney/Dugger at S. I’d take that, especially if letting Jones walk helps resign Quinn for the front 4.

My only hope
Is that this inaction is a sign that this article:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/dawindycity.com/2020/01/10/chicago-bulls-rumors-sweeping-front-office-changes/amp/
is true..
The Bulls could have easily picked up Glenn Robinson III and Zhaire Smith for Denzel and a couple damn 2nds.

I like Jeff Thomas too
Just spooked by the off field stuff at The U. He gets suspended, is about to transfer, stays, then gets suspended again.

True
but then who falls?… I’d rather just wait and see then try to guess

At this point
Just make smart decisions shipping off Thad Young and Denzel Valentine. And pray the rumors of a clean sweep of the front office and head coach are true.

Question
If you get either or both of Dak and Amari signed before FA, doesn’t that allow Byron Jones to be franchised or better yet transition tagged?
I’d much rather tag him and try to trade him for an extra 2nd. There’s your ammo to move up for whoever falls Kinlaw or Simmons (my dream)

What's the perfect class?
If Yurtseven leaves, the Hoyas have 5 spots, I’m still not convinced that he leaves though. Let’s say he does, looking at next year, who are your guys?
1) MAM SF Canada
2) Patrick Tape the grad transfer PF from Columbia
3) Brendan Barry the grad transfer PG from Dartsmouth
4) Karim Mane PG/SG Canada
5) Whitney (moves up if he can get the waiver)
Wierd that it’s so hard for a basketball player to get a waiver when football players are grabbing em left and right.
