I spent 3 years in northern Ivory Coast in the Peace Corps. There were whole villages of people there with this last name. Lots of guys had this first name, too. His last name was a royal name in the Malian Empire. It’s the same last name in Alpha Blondy’s Black Samurai, about the great warrior Samori Traore. The way they are saying his first name at IB and ISD…Booba Car…it’s wrong. It should be Boo bahker. They could have it right, names get cemented with wrong pronounciations as a rule in the US…but it’s not right and in West Africa is would be like mispronouncing Steve or Joe.

My last Blue Gold game in person was 2014 or 2015 and barely anyone was there. I see our position issues getting fixed in many areas. QB, WR and CB still seem to need work, Cam Hart aside. But what I am hoping for most of all in this new era is that the fans get fixed. That home games are loud homes games, that the stadium is loud loud loud when it matters. From the looks of this crowd, the fan issue may be getting fixed, too. Hooray!

The kicking was terrifying yesterday. Doerr was nuts but could hit long ones in pressure sits. I was ready for him to go. I want him back!!!!

I just watched the 4th quarter. He was a beast.
