Sign a big money free agent CB and draft one high. Slay is either gone and we sign one to replace him and draft one like Diggs with our early 2nd or with the late 1st round pick acquired in the Slay trade to compete with Oruwariye and Coleman plays the slot again where he should be. Or we keep Slay and sign one in which case we’d have potentially 3 starting outside corners and Coleman back in the slot and could draft one in the mid rounds to develop. And they take a pass rusher(young) or Tua at #3 without a trade down. That’s what I think they will do atleast.

Why do some on here call Slay the Lions best defensive player. Pro Bowls aren’t All Pro bids. Slay isn’t the slay of two years ago. Early in the year when Stafford was playing and the defense was playing well he was still getting burned. Just saying.

Same scenario if they take Tua. I’d bet they don’t take Okudah at #3. Sign Byron Jones and draft Trevon Diggs with the late first we get from Slay or with our high 2nd.

This guy was so big for the Lions last year in more ways then just production on the field. Losing can breed a terrible culture but I’m sure he remained very positive in the locker room and behind the scenes being a Matty P guy. He’s important. Good signing.
