I'm an Orlando native and a lifelong Orlando Magic fan. I have an MA in History from the University of Central Florida, where I researched NBA expansion in the late 1980s, and its impact on the neighborhoods where new basketball arenas were built. I am currently a PhD student studying Pacific Island History at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, but I still keep up with the Magic as intensely as ever.
