As much as I would like to draft a WR @21 . . . . .
Delpit is the only player within reach who has been ranked #1 at his position.
IMHO, the WR class is deep enough to wait to RD2 and maybe RD3 comp or RD4 or RD4comp
for a second one, depending on who’s available. We have plenty of other holes to fill and Howie will need to be on his toes
for each pick. This is not a rebuilding year and adding depth will be crucial to the Birds success this season.
Expectations will need to be tempered for a bit because several of these players are going to be asked to contribute
right away. How they respond to the challenge will determine how far the Eagles will soar this year.
Of course, FA will also change the landscape of the team’s needs before the draft gets here. That in itself will be interesting
and will provide plenty of opportunity for chatter.

Dude, Suds is a free agent. Anybody can sign him. Even the . . . . .
Giants, who are looking for a #2 behind Daniel Jones.
So we’ve kept the guy developing on the roster for three years
and get NOTHING for him. Good strategy Howie.

LOL, that's why players need . . . . .
a huge "catch radius". To grab those perfectly thrown balls, that aren’t so perfect.
I still believe we’re going defense at 21.
Delpit is the only player at 21 who is ranked #1 at his position.
Have we ever drafted a player like that before?

I was able to replicate the same draft on TDN except . . . .
I screwed up and took Tyler Johnson at 117 instead of Coe. I was trying to do it from memory.
So to try and keep it the same I took Garvin, EDGE guy from Miami. I also took Hall in the third because he was ranked way higher
than Robertson. Anyway, instead of three WR’s (which I could have replicated) I went with LB in the sixth round.
21 Grant Delpit , S LSU
53 Brandon Aiyuk WR Arizona State
85 Bryce Hall , CB Virginia
117 Tyler Johnson , WR Minnesota
148 Jonathan Garvin , EDGE Miami
150 Michael Onwenu , IOL Michigan
170 Mohamed Barry , LB Nebraska

So in other words . . . . .
being fast doesn’t mean a damn thing in the NFL!
I’d like to see the top ten combine list of NFL HOF’ers.
That would prove that speed means nothing.

Dude, you've got to temper your expectations. Would you rather . . . .
watch the XFL or reruns of "The Courtship of Eddie’s Father"?
It’s simply entertainment resembling football in the middle of February before NFL free agency and the draft.
After that you can forget it ever happened.

Wait a minute! Let's pump the brakes here. What about the . . . .
effect of bad coaching on a talented player. These WR coaches shuffle around the league coaching players with older methods
because that’s all they know. Young players do what they’re told to get on the field, but then when they do-nothing happens.
JJAW saw almost 500 snaps. How many times was he the indented target, but when CW made his read JJAW had run a bad route
or could not get separation to create a throwing lane or a window, and he has to check off and go somewhere else with the ball?
But that was the way he was coached to do it. As far as the coach is concerned he did everything right, but wasn’t targeted.
All we see is a guy who took 500 snaps and hardly ever saw the ball. So, who’s living in denial; us or the coaches?

I am hanging my head and crying over the utter hopelessness of his life. Poor JJAW
graduating from Stanford and having to live out of a trash can. Tragic.

Assuming then that the numbers don't lie: there should be a rule-
under NO circumstances should any team draft a WR in the second round.
Historically, a waste of a pick.

I did not see that the first time I looked. I was too taken by the eyeballs.
But when I went back to it, I see the VV reference. Great pick up on that one!
Although the guy doesn’t look like much of a wedding crasher.

This is way too much thought and effort for a . . .
January offseason. Is it do-able? Sure. Is it plausible? Perhaps.
Is it likely? Not even close. BUT,
if it did even remotely happen, just wake me up on Super Bowl Sunday 2021
