Even though it is fun to play with BTV
There are some cases where one can wonder if that is an accurate value for a given player and Sixto might be one of those. I guess some "blockbuster" trades should use comparable historic trades to kind of have a good idea. I will dig into some of those and see how different it is.
He is certainly interesting
And I had him also in a longer "Marlins being Marlins" list, along with for example, Edwin Rios (LAD), Max Kepler (MIN), Harrison Bader (STL) and Ian Happ (CHC). However, you gotta be cautious about his stats giving his small sample in the majors.
The fact that he is somehow blocked by the Astros outfielders (McCormick and Meyers are above him in the depth chart), makes him a trade candidate. I believe HOU will wait until Spring Training to consider a trade, waiting for injuries or similar.
You are right
He is not a CF. His defensive metrics in the OF are not good and looks like the Dbacks are trying to mimic the Dee Gordon-in-CF experiment. However, his offensive output matches very well what the Marlins need and shouldn’t be a problem to find a place in the lineup for him.

You are not the only Alfaro fan
He is my paisano, and I really like his intensity. This year, I argued with most of the people here in TFS about him, but he has become indefensible. I couldn’t agree more with you, he most probably needs a change.
The Marlins actually did him a favor by giving him some experience in the OF, and I hope any team like the Pirates, Cleveland, or even the Orioles take a flyer on him and become at least a solid regular.
Farewell Jorge, truly wish you the best.
