My name is Henrique DaMour and I’m an undergraduate journalism student at Northwestern and a survivor of Armando Galarraga’s 28-out perfect game. My sports fandom is Detroit through and through, with my one true love being the Tigers and baseball in general, and my e-sports fixation expanding at a dangerous rate. I grew up overseas before finally moving to the U.S., specifically Detroit, being introduced to sports as a cultural phenomenon in 2006 and becoming obsessed. I now find myself in Evanston where I’m currently trying to come out of school with a piece of paper that apparently makes me more qualified to make a living talking about sports than the next guy. I’m currently engrossed in developing as a play-by-play/color commentator, but otherwise I love singing a cappella, playing pickup basketball (quite poorly), convincing people I have original thoughts about music, and enjoying Coca-Cola by the gallon.
