Yes, but Sweet Caroline is one of those songs that people anywhere can chant at sports stadiums around the country and it works. I would even rather play that than what currently gets played at SU but that actually engages fans. So, wouldn’t necessarily dismiss something that’s old but it does have to work.

On AC/DC and Thunderstruck...
… and in the same vein of classic rock. I mean, it’s fine I guess. It has a time and place, but can’t we do better there? That and Welcome To The Jungle don’t carry the same weight at Syracuse as Enter Sandman does at VT, nor the tradition.
I mean, I understand there are a lot of middle- to late-aged white males that attend games in the Dome. That’s fine. But rap and hip-hop is a more popular music genre in 2021. Can we play something that will resonate with students and younger fans?
(I think it does)
Boeheim can come out to Springsteen and it works. That’s cool. But maybe the music before games (and with intros) can be better with the new sound system and lighting display and we can move on from songs that were popular 30-35 years ago. Just feels like it would bring things forward a bit more.

But I will be there to witness it.
