Jeff is a consistent source for Predators content at On The Forecheck. He enjoys watching all sorts of hockey from juniors to the pros, and playing hockey for his high school and local teams in Nashville. He's a big proponent of hockey analytics, and you'll often see him using lots of statistics and data to back up his main talking points. You can find his work here, or check out his contributions on his own Substack, or at Last Word on Hockey and On the Forecheck. Lastly, you can listen to him on the Youth Movement Podcast presented by On the Forecheck or the Triple Shift Podcast. Nothing good comes out of confining players in a creative box. It’s like not letting an artist paint what he wants and forcing him to paint the opposite. Nobody gets better if they feel that they aren’t allowed to do what makes them the best player possible. Hopefully, Hynes understands that and adapts the system to the players instead of forcing the players to adapt to the system.

Karl Taylor Train
I completely agree. It was abundantly clear last season that the team was in desperate need of a shakeup, so any change is welcome from me. I’ve been on the Taylor train for a while, pretty much ever since I decided the direction I wanted to see the franchise go. Hynes isn’t the guy for that. Considering how he works with younger players like you mentioned, I think Taylor would be an excellent head coach.
