Tough Job finding a new DP
Wish Rossi the best.
I’m going to be optimistic on whoever the front office already had in mind to sign for the vacant DP spot.
We still need a leader on the back line. We haven’t got it right ever since shipping Zimmerman for money to sign players who couldn’t cut it.

I see what you are upset about. We all wish we can keep our young talented players but we can’t compete with the larger clubs in terms of competition and pay. It is extremely difficult to keep the same starting 11 in the MLS year in and out and stay competitive. Yes we had some signings that def were either too expensive to keep or didn’t live up to what we expected and were moved on quickly to get out of it. But we need to have faith that the club is managing the players the right way and being creative in bringing players on.
Personally I don’t think we should be where we are in the standings with the squad we currently have. Bob is too stubborn to adjust and I have yet to see him ever make an impact sub this year. Other teams just figured us out and we need to adjust. Also it was very naive of us to go into this year without a clear striker.
Side note dodgers could hold on to a lot of their young talent bc they are the best at scouting them so we can have belly and seager for several years under 6 year arbitration but that will run out next year for seager and belly following. They both would need big contracts and I don’t think it will be smart to keep them both. Plus the dodger have crazy money for payroll.

I agree MLS is not an elite football league and thus LAFC can only bring in emerging talent to benefit both player and club in getting the player ready for the next step up and playing regularly in the MLS while we get a player who can contribute and make the club money to keep it competitive. I applaud LAFC for doing this with Rossi who would have never come unless we were willing to move him on and not hold him ransom. You cannot compare this sport to Basketball and Baseball. Teams cannot operate the same way unless you think of MLS as the Spanish basketball league. So I think we should give time for this model that LAFC is showcasing just like Atlanta and trust that there will be ups and downs but this is what happens to all new clubs.
Wish Rossi the best. Thanks for what you were able to do for this club in your journey to top flight football.
