Kristen serves as a Community Manager at SB Nation. She also writes for SB Nation D.C. and Federal Baseball. Kristen has covered the Washington Nationals and other visiting MLB clubs for MASNsports.com and MLB.com. While working for WebStrong Group, a now defunct PR and technology firm, Kristen handled the day-to-day media and PR affairs of the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN). Kristen monitored and improved the network’s reputation online while helping to manage and support the network’s advocacy campaign for television carriage. A Pennsylvania native, Kristen graduated from Mercyhurst College and earned her Master’s degree from Catholic University of America. Despite her Pittsburgh roots, she adopted some of DC's teams upon arriving in 2005. She continues to cheer for the Steelers, the Nationals and the Pitt Panthers, as well as a random assortment of her favorite MLB stars.
