people need to chill the heck out. I hadn’t seen the official announcement yet where he says keeping the door open. So the real blame then sounds like it’s with the premature press saying "and stay in". Kid can’t control that.

I'm not sure what everyone is confused about.
There’s nothing new here, people have been guessing this for a few weeks. The only thing that has changed since he first arrived on campus in December is that we are now much closer to draft deadline and he’s hearing he is a lock for top 10.
Remember, when he signed, he was in the class of 2022/23. So we should never have expected him to be on campus with even the possibility of playin until next year.
Then it was determined he had enough course work done over last summer to qualify for graduation and admittance to UK. So he joined in second semester. AT THAT TIME the NBA hadn’t ruled on whether he was eligible. So why wouldn’t UK take him?
Then NBA agrees that he technically is classified as having graduated in May retroactive. We knew this. So now he’s on campus and with the team. AT THAT TIME, we are too far away from the draft for anyone to know with certainty where he might fall if he declared, so he says publicly that nothing has changed, he expects to be here in the fall.
Now that we are much closer the draft, knowing who is in and out, he is being told with much more certainty that he will go top 10. So now AT THIS TIME, he’s decided to take that opportunity.
The only argument anyone really should have is whether or not he should have/could have helped the team by playing rather than practicing. No one knows this answer. Were you in practice? Did you see how he gelled or didn’t with the rest of the team? Remember the team was on fire. Then came the injuries. But do you really insert a brand new player into the mix literally weeks before the tournament with no game experience? I don’t care if he’s Jordan, one guy doesn’t do it.
People are pissed because they got their hopes up, and are now disappointed. I get that but I don’t see where anyone is to ‘blame’.
