Former Blogging Capo Mike Pettigano (@MikePettigano) is a 2006 graduate of Penn State’s College of Communications and the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism, and a four-year member of the Penn State Blue Band. A news reporter and editor since graduation, on the side he dabbled with blogging, starting up Zombie Nation in 2007, and eventually bringing together some of the best Penn State bloggers to create Linebacker-U.com in 2010. He spent three seasons as a fully-credentialed sideline photographer, and managing editor of Black Shoe Diaries through the end of the 2012 football season. From 2013 to 2015, he was editor in chief of We Are!, the first fully-digital Penn State football preview magazine. Mike has been fortunate enough to work with college football's finest prognosticator, Phil Steele at PhilSteele.com. Mike’s writing has been cited by, among others, FOX Sports, Sports Illustrated OnCampus, Sporting News Today, The Baltimore Sun, and the Chicago Sun-Times, with a few appearances on ESPN Radio along the way. Mike is currently the Digital News Projects Editor for North Jersey Media Group, a part time package handler at UPS, and lives in northeast New Jersey with his wife, sons, and schnauzer.
