I am a Texas native now living in Auburn, Wa. When growing up, I spent time between Mount Vernon and Midland. I attended high school with two future NFL players; Don Meredith in Mount Vernon and Wahoo McDaniel in Midland. Both now deceased. I became a Cowboys fan in 1961, probably because of my personal association with Don. I have been a fan ever since.
