If he can truly earn a spot in the rotation
It’s one of the best signings I’ve ever seen, given the price. I always liked Felix in Seattle and he was THE guy that helped me understand how misleading pitcher wins is as a statistic. Would love for him to revive his career here!

You should take your own advice, so I’m here if you need to ask for help

He has $12.8M left over two years $41.5M contract. If you want to throw in his 2017 season, he has a little over 1500 rushing yards in three years.

Because he was still on his rookie contract in ‘17
Other than that, fine attempts at excuses for a terrible contract given to a tiny, trash running back

DeVonta Freeman made $28M for 700 yards and 4 TD’s over two years
That’s not Dirk’s fault, but occasionally it’s worth noting the spectacular incompetence of this organization at every level.

Why do this now?
Why not have open competition for the PK gig? Last year was an absolute disaster at this very position because of this very same decision to name a starter before camp. SMH

Not sure why people get full diapers over how a mock turns out
Don’t think any of us saw the Birds taking two OL in the first round last year, so this is all speculation based on logic and need (two positions the Falcons routinely ignore in the draft, ha). I’d be fine with this draft with the only caveat being that I hope we can do better than Cam Akers.

A fair obituary
While I agree about how maddening his tenure seems from the outside, if you watched it from start to finish it was readily apparent to all but Falcon brass: mediocre talent, burdened further by comparisons to the production of a running back taken a few spots later and his own lackadaisical desire to be dominant. The only truly "maddening" aspect of this whole thing (to me) was the arrogant insistence by those in charge that they were right about him and that we just couldn’t see it.

Does this version presume Kinlaw is already taken?
He seems to be getting a lot of attention after the Senior Bowl.

Not ashamed to admit I’m one one of those fans.
I saw giving Vic the option year as a sign of the organization’s arrogance and refusal to admit a mistake. As for Shanny, I thought I was happy for his success, but then discovered during the game that I wasn’t quiiite ready to see him hoisting the Lombardi for another team so soon. Human beings, man.
