I don't understand how this line still works on people
I mean, I guess I do since people are really stupid. But no candidate has ever run on literally taking all the guns, yet the righties throw it out every year and every year it works like a charm.

Yeah it's not that his views are different.
Their owner, for example, is a billionaire who donates millions to republicans. It’s that his views were sexist among worse things. He’s a giant a-hole and the more we can punish people for being a-holes the more people hopefully take a second thought of being an a-hole. The fact that he brought the 1st Amendment into it was so on point for that genre of people.

So baseball is giving us some fun stories which is fun
The Astros cheating scandal being made worse by the extremely terrible discipline decision and doubling-down of the commissioner is hiliarous.
The Aubrey Huff thing is also hilarious since he’s such a giant a hole. I don’t remember the last time offseason baseball gave us something like this to talk about.

I respect them for the attempt
but I still think it’s so classic that they probably make up 5% of the population of the state and they think the state should be run the way they want it run simply because of land mass. The article doesn’t say, but I’m super curious to know what their revenue % is and whether or not they are givers or takers when it comes to how much they pay into and how much they take from the state. My guess is they are likely subsidized by the state, and it’s probably not close.

Lost in the pardon madness
is that Trump called himself the "Chief Law Enforcement Officer" of the country which is just ridiculous.
If we get to make up titles I call dibs on Chief Dog Petter and I get to pet any dog I want whenever I want and you can’t do anything about it.

Everyone involved in it has been a jerk or flat out wrong in varying degrees of wrongness and jerkiness
I’m not going to litigate who the worst was because 1) I have no idea what your DMs said, I don’t care to know, and I can’t know whether or not Bud called you that while knowing for sure your gender. 2) It’s not really my place to be the monitor of this kind of thing unless Catalina would like to anoint me, but I don’t have enough time to go and tell everyone on this board that they’re a jerk when they’re being a jerk and 3) I actually want you all to hash it out because the board is better when you’re all contributing in positive ways and not fighting.

Can you 3 or 4 people just group message on Twitter or something?
I know you all have it. Just @ each other there and have it out. It wouldn’t be so bad if your feud was contained to just one comment section or sub-thread and it could be closed and ignored, but it has overflowed into like 1/3 of the active sub-threads in this comment section alone. The rest of us don’t care who started it or who was wrong first or who overreacted the most. You’re all long-time posters who honestly most of the time make very good points in great ways, but this is getting annoying for the rest of us (I’m assuming. I guess maybe I shouldn’t speak for the rest of the people here). I don’t really care if you all want to keep yelling at each other, just try to contain it somewhere we can just ignore it instead of having to click through.

So then the premise would be
that only the WNBA would have lower hoops? Not college? Not high school? Not elementary? So females would play at a 10 ft hoop literally their entire life until they’re getting paid to play at which point dunks become a thing, and with lower hoops, the game completely changes? That doesn’t seem like a good idea.
