This team lacks scoring and shooting. Oubre can at least score, Rubio unable to hit any shot and players sagging into the paint on Ayton is a bigger issue than Oubre.

Except if you are on the Suns who sack a coach yearly.

He puts bums on seats because he is one of the few good players on the team.

He just came off a 20+ game stretch of averaging more than 20 points a game on above league average efficiency putting up borderline all star numbers.
Least of our issues is Oubre.

Us not having a point guard, power forward and a team full of rookies was the problem. Igor was the least of our issues.
The guy was utterly doomed to fail and he had absolutely no opportunity to show whether he was good enough or not. The only time we had a semblance of NBA quality players we went 6-6.

Almost just like with Igor, it isn’t the coach.

This teams shooting some times is ridiculously bad

Okobo should be the bottom of this rotation
How does he keep playing

I think this team is moving in the right direction
We have been the worst team in the league the past few years.
We are competitive this season, even with significant injury/suspension issues this season. If this team wasn’t so awful in the clutch we would be about a .500 team and i think that is definitely something which can be fixed.
Now in the offseason we need to improve upon that. But we are improving as have our 4 young guys in Oubre, Bridges, Book and Ayton. We just need to fix some problems around them.

We aren't going to compete with the Lakers with one fit big and that big is Diallo.

The Hawks won 10 more games than us last season.
So glad they are content with their massive improvements.

Rubio’s fault depends how you view it
Him playing with the bench unit highlights his weakness to an extreme extent. Teams don’t respect his scoring and it creates ridiculous spacing problems because no one in the bench can score.
But yes it is a problem that us staggering Rubio has no effect. It just highlights our bench deficiencies even more because one of our key starters can’t play with that unit.

It’s definitely the next part of the game he has to work on. All game he was complaining and super heated and it affected his performance. He has to learn to control his emotions a bit better

I mean he should have had like 10 FTs today. Absolutely got robbed and his dribbling is much improved. Most of his game today was based on his shot creation
Comment 1 reply
I definitely think that is a big issue
Whenever the pressure is raised or things start going wrong our decision making goes out the window. Our players fall back into their bad habits when a couple mistakes are made.

Backcourt killed us tonight
Oh well, onto the next game.

Ayton literally gets no calls

Chriss is tearing apart the Lakers
Wtf

Ye nah, that was utter shite as per usual.

We fell away at the end of that quarter by going away from DA. This team needs to be more controlled, too often they lose their cool and start rushing everything.

Ayton with the movesss
Comment
And why are Book, DA and Oubre all out at the same time
Got to rotate better than that

What’s Ricky’s stats when he is in with the bench unit?

Don’t get how that last bucket wasn’t a foul either tbh

Lets go Ayton!

And all this time people were blaming Jones when you are the culprit.

Never forget how we got robbed in that Blazers game. We had 2 goaltends just as worse stolen off us and Baynes dunk taken away for a bs offensive basket interference.
Yes still annoyed

Kelly Oubre Jr. on if there’s a sense of relief after the trade deadline: "The first thing we said when we saw each other this morning was, ‘We made it.’ Everybody here loves each other. To leave this group of guys would be heartbreaking. But we’re all here, so it’s a blessing."

I’m still shocked they got rid of Capela. They had a legit shot to win it this season and they got rid of their defensive anchor and alternate scoring option.

Well and also this team is full of streaky and inexperienced players. Doesn’t bode well for consistency, but they’ll show what they are capable of every so often when everyone is on it.
