not really trying to single out Americans
But yes, Americans do make fun of other nation’s tragedies
America is not a monolith, so you can’t really account for the 372 Million people who may decide to make a joke
I’m american.. I have made jokes that reference other’s tragedies

sorry for your loss
I don’t believe he had anything to apologize for, though

nah, I'm no Derek Brunson fan...
But I can’t let you do that, B… Too many people tried to cheapen Israel Adesanya’s win over Derek, but UFC match makers got that right and this one, too
I don’t know why MMA fans can’t appreciate an up and comer.. they love for "train to be derailed" .. Not saying you, Scholar Diaz.. just pointing it out
Derek Brunson has only lost to the best of the decision is the perfect test for the kid in the exact way that you said Edmen needed to be tested, as Derek has a lot 3 round decisions on top of his KO power.
This would be a great win for Edmen, just as it was for Israel.. Derek may not be elite, but you are not elite, if you can’t beat him .. and if the Kid loses, then it just means he still has some work to do.
Win 20–7 Ian Heinisch Decision (unanimous)
Win 19–7 Elias Theodorou Decision (unanimous)

Win 18–5 Lyoto Machida KO (punches)
Win 17–5 Dan Kelly KO (punches)
Loss 16–5 Anderson Silva Decision (unanimous)
Loss 16–4 Robert Whittaker TKO (head kick and punches)
Win 16–3 Uriah Hall TKO (punches)
Win 15–3 Roan Carneiro KO (punches)
Win 14–3 Sam Alvey TKO (punches)
Win 13–3 Ed Herman TKO (punches)
Win 12–3 Lorenz Larkin Decision (unanimous)

my reply
Yes, I would say his overall performance has deteriorated,
as to what we attribute that deterioration is up to speculation: I tend to think that his gym is not what it once was and his own motivation in each fight.
GSP was boring, but dominant none the less.. Jon looked really bad vs Santos, more so than Santos looking really sharp
a) we agree, I believe his comp is figuring him out.. but I think they are figuring him out, because he isn’t growing.. therefore his effectiveness and overall performances is deteriorating
against Smith, it seems that Jones was cycling through the same strikes over and over, not due to some strategic advantage, but just a lack of ideas (when has Jones ever been known to lack ideas in the cage)
Against Santos, Jones wasn’t accomplishing much
B) agreed
c) this one, I don’t know.. seems to still be athletically in his prime and looked in better shape than ever in his last fight
d) strong possibility
I don’t know if it will be Reyes, but I feel Jon will lose soon, for all the reasons listed above

I apologize if anything comes off antagonistic
never my intent.. I just speak freely and I usually speak in generalities, as I mostly read people comments and move on.. I rarely reply, so when I finally do write something out.. Its a dump of how I feel mma fans are led astray
I didn’t necessarily mean that you are any other one person is fooled by Joe Rogan.. just that I see a lot of people listen to Ariel (and the like) say Jon’s the best for whatever reason and don’t really pay attention to the break down of a fight
most writers on these sites aren’t really fight analysts, but are rather just people who wax poetic about fights over all (which has its place too btw)
I’ll respond to you more thoroughly when I get a chance.. I always welcome thoughtful fight repartee, if you will .. I’m obsessed with the shit

It feels like
Most people confuse sports punditry with actual fight analysis
It’s very easy to see that Jon’s wrestling skills have declined and his bag of tricks for striking aren’t as effective as they used to be
If you’re solely listening to Joe Rogan’s praise of a fighter, you’re doing yourself a disservice as a true fight fan
Btw:
I hit the reply button after, rec’ing you.. this comment is just a general statement @yofatmama

How about an entire breakdown of Jones’s wrestling
"In each of his last two fights, Jones’ form on his shots has visibly regressed. One theory I’ve seen is that when Jon Jones focuses on an area of his game, others suffer. Jones has been vocal about his new emphasis on boxing, perhaps that additional training has dulled his wrestling."

agreed
the diluted title argument is dumb, as fights in boxing aren’t insular to 1 promotion
UFC having more titles does not dilute anything, because all the talent is still right there to fight each other, where as in Boxing people pick and choose based on 2-3 pounds and weight classes get made up whenever
Interim tittles and giving title shots to the undeserving are things that actually hurt the sport.. not adding a weight class.. after they have several to help smaller fighters/ women fighters

not true
Jon’s wrestling skills have eroded over the years and Izzy has proven to be improving greatly (defensively)
Jon Jones loses soon.. I hope its to Izzy so the torch can get passed, But I’m not sure who wins this fight with Romero

also, this is more so me venting about all the comments rather than going at you phightphan.. you seem to be a decent poster
