Did he get hurt during OU? If you look at the O with and without him it’s night and day. When I say "big play" it’s not just his big plays but everyone else. One of the reasons (my hypothesis) that we saw Bijan tail off toward the end was that we didn’t have receivers like Whit turning big runs into TDs with downfield blocking

Was prob the biggest blow of last year. Ppl underestimate his impact to big play potential

The killer mentality. Both sides seem to let their foot off the gas when things are going well.

Also the tackling on defense. A lot of big pops for sure and later on some improved wrapping up, but also a lot of guys bouncing off and flying IMT without their hands.

Also missing is winning one on one balls in coverage. The QBs gotta put it in better spots but there was a lot of times the receivers got disconnected from catchable balls. In a zero sum game like today I would prefer to see receivers winning those matchups with the d backs in position.
