Lived in Tuscaloosa from '71 til '77. Used to usher Bama games at Denny Stadium. Cut Bear Bryant's lawn once. Live in South Ogden, Utah but LOVES ME SOME BAMA FOOTBALL!

About that pivotal point, it wasn't just Nirvana.

I was an active purchaser of "new music" and so I bought the latest "hot" CD, which at the time was enuff z’nuff. First listen was the last. And then depression set in.
At Christmas, my record store mgr buddy gave me a copy of Alice in Chains Facelift and the accompanying video of ‘Live at the Moore’.
Watching that video was a truly spiritual moment and I dived into all things musically from Seattle. Unless you lived through the horrible time before Nirvana/ AIC/ Soundgarden/ Tad/ Pearl Jam, you can’t appreciate it.
