Bill Groeneveld ran track with Ronnie Lott in high school in Rialto, California, and was one of seven Californians in TCU's freshman class in 1976-77. He lived in the old "Pete's Palace" and had the hottest MOPAR hot rod TCU had ever seen. He was a member of the TCU Vigilantes cannon team, and made his way back to California, currently living in Santa Barbara. Living in California he has managed to get to multiple TCU football games at San Diego State, and baseball games at CSU Fullerton and USC, as well as the 2010 Fiesta Bowl, 2011 Rose Bowl, 2011 game at Boise St., 2011 Poinsettia Bowl, the 2012 game at Oklahoma State, the 2015 home game vs. WVU @ AGCS, the 2016 Alamo Bowl, the 2018 Cheez-It Bowl, and the 2019 home game vs. Baylor.
