Picollo's first move?
Heasley is one of the more underrated prospects in the system and I’m not sure why he hadn’t been promoted to AAA weeks ago.

Everyone is excited about Salvy
Perez is about the break the franchise single season record and might lead the league in home runs. It’s great.
But it’s also depressing that we’re once again wasting another great year from him. Not to mention, another good year from Merrifield. All because this front office struggles to put quality talent around them.

Moore should have been fired for the poor performance on the field. Instead, he somehow got promoted for it.
But if this means Picollo gets to make most of the decisions now, then I’m satisfied. This team desperately needed a new General Manager. Picollo clearly knows the prospects within this organization pretty well. Maybe he’ll be more inclined to promote them to the major league level and less inclined to show case loyalty to under-performing veterans.

The reputation of the Big 12 has been suffering for a while
The reputation of the conference has been suffering ever since Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and Texas A&M left to join another conference. I’m sure losing Texas and Oklahoma will hurt a lot with revenue though.
But the conference might be stronger in football and basketball by replacing Oklahoma and Texas with Cincinnati, Houston, UCF and BYU.

I would already consider Pasquantino a borderline top ten prospect. He’s not only destroying pitching at AA, at the moment, but he has consistently hit well ever since he was drafted.
