For overral fight. That’s added up to the normal 10-9 scoring system.
I.e: in a 5 round fight, you got a guy that won the first three rounds by effective jabs, or lay pray. But got clearly his ass kicked in the 4,5th rounds without being 10-8 rounds.
The other fighter should win by 49-48 instead of losing 48-47

It is a skill as others, you gotta respect a guy who stops TDs from a wresler. It’s the equivalent of someone having great head movement and avoiding punches. The reward is to not count them for your opponent !! Missed 10 punches is ineffective, and so are 3 takedown attempts stopped or the guy stood up right after (analogy with a blocked strike in this case).

Favoritism. What takedowns are you talking about ? How about defending takedowns ? Isn’t it an aspect of MMA ? How about striking ? If ineffective takedowns are that decisive, then so should be ineffective striking ?
