I could see the AAC, C USA, and Sunbelt agreeing to something similar as they are all in the South. The problem with the Mountain West is there isn’t another conference in the same geographical area besides the PAC 12.

The conferences would need to agree on a ranking system. I went with athlon this week and college football last week, that was simply to provide different options and methods. It could even be a computer program combined with a human method. If the agreement was for current PAC 12 schools to get say a 5 or 10 spot ranking boost to convince them to sign on, I could live with that.

If the PAC wants to expand it means less money per school as the same pot is now being split 14 or 16 ways instead of 12. In this scenario, the pot is still split 12 ways just with different schools. Better conference without less money for the better schools.
