Still a big game for both teams though.
And honestly the Sooners tend to take their foot off the gas when they have any lead in the second half. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it be a close game in the end.
Obviously, I hope that’s not the case, but it won’t shock me at all.
I totally agree.
We seem to play much better with a chip on our shoulders. We don’t ride the hype train very well.
Can you explain why you are deleting users entire comment history with this change?
Wow that's really awful.
Kinda negates a lot of what I said above about it only being a minor change… Being able to look back at comments from articles long ago is really fun and a part of the experience.
I still want to have this community exist, but I think it’s really sad that there are vested interests that have no idea what users want, and are personally willing to downgrade and harm the user experience for personal gain that falls outside the purpose of the community itself.
I’d love to see aggregate data across all SB nation sites about who approves of this new template. I bet the disapproval would be north of 80% and not just because some cop out about "people not liking change." People like change if it’s good change. People don’t like bad changes. It really is that simple.
I would vote discord as well.
I’ve used it, and it’s a good platform.

Dang I should add I noticed you can't click on a user and see their comment history.
is that right? that really blows.

I've been a regular commenter here for nearly a decade.
And I’m obviously pretty miffed about the change. It is clearly not being done to improve the community, but instead to make life easier for people who aren’t involved in these communities. But I’m not responsible for upkeep…
But I also think people it’s a bit rash to leave this community outright due to what now appear to me to be pretty minor changes to the functionality of the commenting sections. I admit, when they first rolled out "coral" or whatever it’s called, it appeared identical to any news article comment section- which is to say utter garbage.
And it’s still a clear downgrade, but based on the Cleveland Browns site that I have checked for reference, it appears they have improved it and made it pretty similar to this. https://www.dawgsbynature.com/2021/9/12/22669444/browns-vs-chiefs-final-score-kansas-city-rallies-in-second-half-wins-33-29 The only that sucks to my eye is the "load more" button, but is that really enough to kill a community like this with regular members for years? You can even set it to "oldest first" comment order like it is now at the top of the page.
I won’t be leaving this community. I’ve been on the east coast my whole adult life, and this is my connection to Rockets basketball- firmly sprouted from the roots of my childhood.
If something so basic as having to hit a "load more" button is enough to make you go elsewhere, then have at it I suppose. But I hope any of the regulars I’ve come to know so well here stick around. If you don’t, that’s your prerogative, but I think you’d be making a mistake and likely doing it out of spite more than anything really logistical- unless I’m missing something about the functionality.
Just say no to Ben Simmons- no matter the deal. He’s an expensive as hell player who literally can’t do the most important thing in basketball, like even a little.
I wouldn’t trade Anthony Lamb for Ben Simmons, unless Simmons renegotiated his contract to be like 3 mil per year. On top of being a shooting void, he appears to be a malcontent- disinterested in improving. Just say no.

Bama played Mercer yesterday
Several other SEC schools played FCS schools also.

It still means something.
76-0 shows they responded to last week.

Regardless of opponent,
It was 76-0, which shows 4 quarters of total dominance. That’s exactly what this team needed to show. Let’s do it again vs Nebraska.

Great to see the Sooners lay the hammer down today.
Exactly- O-line has to pull it together.
I think the biggest issue is when we have leads.
We try to coast to victory. The only regular season games Lincoln has lost, except the K-State 2019 game I believe, the Sooners have led by at least 10 at some point in the game.
There’s no excuse for the Sooners to have had such a poor effort on so many situations.

The first part is correct- the OU defense has been the problem the longest.
But defense doesn’t win championships. Offense AND defense wins championships. Bama wins championships with offense AND defense.
I hear this every year though.
Don’t know what their ceiling is, but they’re definitely going to get better. They always do.
