It is amazing how short your memory is
17-18 we had Frank and Tyus, with HoWash who got hurt and Geno who transferred. They both averaged 39 mins a game. Oshae averaged about the same. They made it to the Sweet Sixteen with that lineup.
These kids don’t get tired. They’ve played this game every day for more than half their lives. Playing it 2x a week isn’t going to gas them, so stop your nonsense.
I know this was discussed in other threads from you, but I don’t recall your response. Did you say the same thing about Jerami his freshman year?

I mean, come on, man…
He wasn’t even supposed to be playing that much if Sid were healthy.
He didn’t show shit last year. He showed that he was raw as hell and needed to work a ton in the offseason to take a step forward. No polish. Just a big body who filled in when Marek was in foul trouble or needed a break. Fouled way too much. Didn’t have much of an offensive game, wasn’t a particularly great rebounder or shot blocker for his size. Wasn’t much of anything, other than a mystery. His game was a huge question mark coming into this season. If you expected him to improve, welcome to the Captain Obvious club. If you expected him to be at this level this early in the season, you’re a big fat liar.

Also, had to LOL at this one:
The announcer said that the Boeheim zone was "infamous". I do not think that word means what he thinks it means.
Def.: well known for some bad quality or deed; wicked; abominable.

He stays in the game because BW isn't ready for extended minutes.
He is one of three who rebound well (Jimmy, JE, CS all average 6.1-6.9 per game).
Jim doesn’t really have a choice in the matter, unless he wants to play BW more. Which I wish he’d do.
Plus, shooters need to shoot their way out of bad stretches, which Cole did yesterday.

His play is the surprise of the season thus far
This year was supposed to be Sid starting and finally showing how good he could be when 100% healthy. JE was supposed to spell him off the bench, or maybe split minutes, and Frank would likely never see the court.
Anyone want to venture a guess on what happens when (ugh, if) Sid comes back? I’d think he would get maybe 5-10 mins a game as long as he remains healthy. We may never see Frank again because we know how Jim Boeheim do.

As trolly as you are, I do agree with your first point
I mean, seriously, these guys get paid, likely a decent amount of money, to watch basketball. How can you be so unprepared that it is completely obvious that you didn’t watch Syracuse’s last game?

Anyone know what Benny did/did not do to draw Jim's ire?
I didn’t feel like rewinding it, as I was trying to watch both SECC and this at the same time and doing it to perfection since I am the greatest television watcher of all time.
Also, so funny to read authors and commenters talk about 20 year old kids being tired from playing basketball (that has tons of breaks during games) for a few hours 3x a week. They didn’t play poorly in the first half because they were tired, they played poorly in the first half because we’re not very good offensively against teams that are long, athletic and play aggressive man to man defense. Were they tired against VCU? Auburn? Just such nonsense, and I read it every year.
That being said, I do agree that Jim should play his bench more. Not because of this phantom tiredness that some of you imagine, but because we will need a deeper bench because of foul trouble, or (knocks wood) injuries. We’ll need to see more from Sy, Bennie and Frank down the stretch and need to get them at least some time. I’ll never understand why Jim doesn’t at least put them in just before a 16/12/8/4 TV timeout and let them play until the next whistle. Any time is better than no time at all. It will help us next year, especially with Sy and BW, because their minutes will increase significantly.

I mean, in all fairness
Georgetown needs to actually have a postseason in order for it to be devoured by crows.

Same happened with football
And I said it at the time, and will say it again:
Things are never as good as they seem (now), nor are they ever as bad as they seem (after Colgate, B4A).
Nova is a big, real test of a top ten team that has looked good all season.

Very few things annoy me more than...
…broadcasting games and not, after every foul, popping a little window that tells me how many fouls for that player.
Or when someone scores, putting their stats in that window, or for rebounds, steals, assists, etc.
I tried to track JE’s fouls manually, and thought that was his fourth. Should have known it was his fifth by the way he reacted to it.
Also, on foul #1, that could have been him or Benny – Jimmy should be teaching Benny every time a foul is called and he was near it, his hand should shoot up quickly. Most times the ref has made up their mind, but sometimes you can get them to change it.

Just bored, on an outage call at work and love poking fun at you. It is one of my favorite pastimes.

I’m not being whiny
Yes, you are, and you’re proving my point.
I’m pointing out that for years we were in a conference that we were a founding member of and we got calls.
No, we didn’t.
I know you Trumpanzees have an issue with knowing the difference between a fact and an opinion. Maybe some day you will see the light.
and is the same reason why UNC and Duke get calls in the ACC.
No, they don’t.
If you don’t realize that you’re being totally ignorant
I am being ignorant because I don’t have this fantasy that BE refs were Syracuse biased, and that ACC refs are anti-Syracuse? Fuckin hilarious.
and don’t realize how the college game works
I know exactly how it works: fans are fanatical and have these strange fantasies that every ref is against them. Yours is certainly different than normal – you’re the first person I’ve ever heard say that we got all of the calls back in the Big East, which makes your opinion so fucking strange. You’d be hard pressed to find one person who agrees with you on that one. Yet because most fans are fanatical and can’t think objectively, they’ll agree with all of your points.
I am sorry that I have a brain and can think clearly and objectively. My bad.

What the fuck are you talking about?
I ought to give Benny Time to develop and not be so critical?
You’re the one comparing him to a bust in Matthew Moyer – who didn’t have an ounce of athleticism when compared to Benny.
Another person who uses the term "undisputable"
And has no idea what it means.
That settles it: you’re right, I am wrong. After all, why would I ever question you on it if it is undisputable.
