I personally love motion, fast paced offense, moving the ball by pass and finding the open man. I love going inside out when you have the players to do it. I love the pick and roll when executed to perfection, isolation plays when movement creates a mismatch, and I love back screens and baseline cuts to the basket. I like open 3s when they are found within the flow of the offense. I like it when a guard probes their way into the lane and finds the open man. I like versatility. I even like isolation in spots, just when one player says I can take this guy, this time and does it, just not an offense built solely upon it. It’s too predictable. I enjoy watching what I consider to be "good basketball", which means a multitude of things in the course of a single game to me, and is different for everyone else. I like watching teams who act like they’ve been there before, and go to work, every play, work hard and celebrate the results, and not themselves. In other words, I love the Celtics. I’m not a fan of pulling up from 40 feet, taking multitudes of what would be called bad shots if they weren’t going in, absurd moving picks and elbows being thrown by the screener at the top of the key. I’m not a fan of star calls, even though they are a reality. I’m not a fan of the flexing everytime down the court, nor the "showmanship" or whatever it might be that Golden State is full of. They are full of something and it makes me think "showtime", which isn’t my thing. My opinion matters more to me than yours does as it’s my time wasted if I watch something I don’t enjoy. If you don’t see things the same way I do, I’m cool with that. If you aren’t, then I’m okay with you staying off my lawn. Thanks!
