I’m a master’s degree candidate at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, where I specialize in arts and culture reporting. Sports are what I love to cover, but this summer I interned with the Mott Haven Herald and Hunts Point Express in the South Bronx, where I covered everything from the housing and homeless crises to a floating public garden and a photography class for the elderly. I’ve recently developed a love for photography, and I’ve enjoyed learning how to incorporate data and interactivity into my reporting to make it more engaging. Before enrolling in graduate school, I wrote about the NBA, NFL, and NCAA sports for several different blogs. I earned my bachelor’s degree in journalism from SUNY Oswego, where I wrote for the sports section of the campus newspaper, The Oswegonian.
