Can't see this going well for Weidman at all

I think because JoJo has always had confidence issues and didn't always show up, people forget she has some vicious striking
she just never seems to let it go now until she’s already beaten up and her back’s against the wall, although she has looked more composed of late.
I don’t think at all she’s on Shevchenko’s level and I don’t expect her to win the fight, but I’m surprised at some people’s response to her getting the shot. In my opinion JoJo beats most at 125 handily if she’s switched on, she has as good a shot at Val as any, which is always a punchers chance and most likely a defeat, but I’m very happy to see her get the shot.

I'm not an advocate of popular opinion, in this particular case I just happen to agree with most people, so I think they do know WTF they are talking about, this time.
I don’t think Reyes won because that’s what most people think, I think he won because I watched the fight and that’s my opinion. The fact it aligns with popular opinion is coincidence, and I was just pointing out to the OP that it’s not ridiculous for Reyes to think he won when so many others agree

I’ve asked for a recount, I’m just waiting to hear back from myself for a decision

Why are you quoting confirmed and what are you talking about lol
How have you confirmed anyone’s bias against Jones in relation to their opinion of this fight?
The only confirmed rounds are the ones the judges scored, other than that it’s a matter of opinion and the majority of fans don’t share your opinion, that’s a fact, that’s what fan polls are for.
It’s also a fact that you can’t decide what other people’s opinions are based on. You seem to be just throwing the word confirmed around when it’s in fact, just your opinion, too.
Relax

We all want to think that, well most of us, but it gets less legitimate by the event

Most people think he convincingly won the first 3 rounds, according to polls, therefore won the fight
If you don’t, that’s cool, but you’re commenting like he’s saying something ridiculous when it’s actually the consensus opinion

Will he get a rematch though?

I’d love to see it happen, he seems a good dude, but it’s so unlikely

"The ones that agree don’t get online and start talking"
what a statement, he said that like it validates something – of course you don’t go online to complain that you agree with something.
Jackson and wink are so easy to dislike

SBG’s finest, Coach K, just saved me some time in rewatching the fight, he has absolutely confirmed it in my mind
Reyes won that fight

Jones isn’t 25 anymore and he’s fighting these young killers?
Reyes is two years younger than Jones and I think he’s the youngest he’s fought in some time.
DC, Santos, Gus, Smith, OSP, Glover, Chael – not exactly new kids on the block

I think Eddie lost a lot of fans through the way he handled that whole thjbg
I’m not always onboard for immediate rematches either. A close fight shouldn’t always mean merit one, because a close fight can still have a clear winner.
When there’s an opinion that the result was wrong, I don’t mind them

Would be massive fight for sure!
Could see Izzy winning if he can stay on his feet but easier said than done

I don’t understand the way some people look at the last two rounds
Dana mentioned you can’t run the last two rounds and take the title away from the champ. Dom Cruz said similar after the fight, and I agree in a razor close fight the champ tends to get the nod.
But, imo, Reyes clearly won the first 3, now providing all rounds are 10/9, what does it matter if he lost the last two and didn’t take it to the champ – 3 rounds should beat 2 rounds no matter who you’re fighting

I get you but it’s hard to take anything from what is said right after the fight, especially coming from a guy like jones or Dana
It also depends how keen Dana is on the Izzy fight, that could be massive, if Izzy beats Yoel.
Not sure Dana will want to think about the chance of Reyes dethroning Jones until that all plays out some more.
I doubt Dana or Jones thought the fight would pan out like this.

I can’t see Jones being keen on an immediate rematch, or even any time soon, but when it’s controversial I wouldn’t mind seeing it
I think Jones will play his why would I fight a guy I just beat card.
