A freshman setter, Maggie Jones, stepped in and did well
About midway through the match Kristen McDaniel, the starting setter, rolled an ankle and had to come out. This is the first semester Maggie has been eligible to play. She started a little shaky but settled down quickly and kept the offense going. Kristen’s ankle appeared pretty swollen on the sideline. She might be out for some time.
Update on Luke Hille
Per the Technician, Luke has missed the last few games with a minor injury and is expected back soon. He started the season on a tear with 3 goals on 8 shots. Production like that will garner more attention from opponents going forward, but he seems to be a big offensive spark this season.

"on the last drive"
I hate hearing that phrase when it comes to an injury. So close to getting off the field still in playing shape…

I grew up in Randleman
My sister was a year behind Kyle in school. I knew Adam from Scouts. Richard and Linda were really down to earth people. "Petty Day" was an annual event in Level Cross. Richard would sign autographs for as long as there was a line. It was amusing when he was running for NC Secretary of State and then had to withdraw after nudging the bumper of a slow driver who was in the left lane.
They had a number of international players who stayed in their home countries last year and therefore did not join the team which left holes in the roster. Between that and players recovering from injuries they could not field a full team for last fall. So this year is basically a double sized freshman class.
