Greetings, I'm a 63 year old Blackhawk fans who grew up watching the away games at my grandma's because she had a color TV! Sunday night's my bro's and I would gather around the radio, praying for Bobby Hull's 50th goal. I love to write about the Hawks and their diabolical opponents, and have had several articles in the true fans program, "The Committed Indian." Chris Block, the editor and writer on one of the most informative hockey websites you'll find, thethirdmanin.com, for some inexplicable reason, has posted most of my rambling thoughts. I say "inexplicable" because our style's are so diametrically opposed. Chris is a student of the game, very technical and looks at the Hawks with an impartial eye. I tend to blame everything on the ref's and bad bounces. My writing's can be described in six words; "Hit Someone, Shoot!, and Kill the Ref." I self published a book called "War drums in the Distance - special moments in a three year quest for hockey's Holy Grail." The cover has a picture of perhaps my favorite Blackhawk player of all times. (Hint, he wasn't known for his scoring abilities.) If you're into technical hockey analysis, this is not the book for you. It's written from the heart of a fan who loves this great sport. It can be ordered on Amazon Books or iUniverse (A very good self publisher for those of you who'd like to give writing a book a go.), or i can mail you a copy for about $12.00.
