Diana Taurasi goes full Taurasi, launching 1,000th 3 and the mother F-bomb

The moment was perfect.

Diana Taurasi scored her 1,000th career three-pointer in the WNBA’s season tip-off on Friday night in extremely Diana Taurasi fashion. One of the league’s living legends and best trash-talkers in professional basketball, Taurasi screamed motherf***** after reaching a mark no player in the W has ever touched.

This is nothing new for Taurasi — both the made threes and the premier trash-talking. She’s made a name for doing both.

Taurasi is just one of four players in the WNBA or NBA to drain 1,000 threes in 400 games or less, along with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Damian Lillard. WNBA games are also just 40 minutes long compared to the NBA’s 48 minutes.

Taurasi scored 26 points in the Phoenix Mercury’s season-opening 86-76 win over the Dallas Wings, draining 5-of-8 from deep. The entire Wings team combined for four made threes.

In her 14th season, she’s showing no signs of slowing down.

Here’s video of the damage she’s done from range over the years:
