Diana Taurasi’s game-tying 3-pointer was the most predictably brilliant shot of the WNBA playoffs

GOAT does Goat things.

Diana Taurasi showed YET AGAIN that she is one of the greatest to ever do it when she knocked down a ridiculous off-balance three-point shot in the corner with multiple hands in her face to tie Game 2 of the semifinals and ship it to overtime. The Storm fell in OT, 91-87, but it’s Taurasi’s shot we’ll be thinking about for a while.

The Storm led by as many as 19 points in the fourth quarter, and slowly but surely the Mercury crept their way back into the game. Mostly behind the hands of Taurasi and Brittney Griner.

After a long stoppage in play as the referees figured out whose hands touched an out-of-bounds ball last, Mercury coach Sandy Brondello drew up a play with just more than seven seconds to spare. Everyone on Earth knew the ball would go in Taurasi’s hands and it just didn’t matter.

Never piss off Diana Taurasi. Never doubt Diana Taurasi. She always gets the last laugh.
