Here is all you need to know about Sasha Banks, who is now officially a member of the RAW roster thanks to Tuesday’s WWE brand split draft.
She arguably has the most potential out of any woman on the WWE roster
Since debuting on the main roster, Sasha Banks hasn’t done anything truly significant -- especially compared to Charlotte, who has held the women’s championship for a year -- yet she is still one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster. Her persona as a larger-than-life character is apparent, so much that whenever her music hits it’s as though she is making her grand return from a long absence. She isn’t, but that’s how grand her gravitas is. It’s almost as though she is bigger than wrestling.
The Boss could be the next WWE women’s champ
Many have pegged her to be the women’s champion already. While she isn’t holding the title just yet, Banks will have it sooner than later -- maybe even getting a title match at SummerSlam in August, as the next step in her feud with current champ Charlotte. So while Banks hasn’t done much yet, you best believe that it will be huge when she finally does.
Sasha Banks is Snoop Dogg’s cousin
Banks doesn’t stray away from the association to the rapper and WWE Hall of Famer. In fact, he’s the basis of Sasha’s boss character, and even performed her entrance theme live at WrestleMania 32. But Sasha Banks has made the character all her own. It fits her so well. There’s the typical maxim that some gimmicks are the simply the personality of a wrestler turned up to 11. Banks may be the best example of this.
