'RAW' drafts WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte

WWE.com

Here is all you need to know about Charlotte, who is now officially a member of the RAW roster thanks to Tuesday’s WWE brand split draft.

Did you know she’s the daughter of Ric Flair?

I know! Isn’t that crazy? It feels like it barely gets mentioned on WWE TV that Charlotte is the daughter of Ric Flair, but how cool is it that Charlotte is the daughter of Ric Flair? She even does the "woo" taunt and the Figure Four and everything. (Well, a modified move called the Figure Eight, but who’s counting?)

Sure, Charlotte and Ric Flair just had a nasty, awkward breakup on television a few weeks ago, but that’s OK, she now has Dana Brooke doing a Ric Flair impression. It’s a pretty cool thing that the daughter of Ric Flair always has either Ric Flair or a Ric Flair impersonator around her at all times.

She’s more or less the face of the new women’s division

Ric Flair references aside, Charlotte represents a pretty important moment in WWE history. The "Divas Revolution" of 2015 had many rough moments, but at the end of the day they got rid of the embarrassing butterfly belt, along with the "Divas" term, and at this year’s WrestleMania we got a new, shiny WWE Women’s Championship, which Charlotte is still holding as of this moment.

So that’s pretty cool, even if the women still can’t get consistent TV time. And if you’re getting tired of her being the longtime champion, don’t worry, Sasha Banks is lurking right around the corner.

Seriously, she’s the daughter of Ric Flair

I don’t think that’s been emphasized enough yet.

Hey, at least she’s having a better career than David Flair did.
